Phyllis brings experience and knowledge to her work as a Licensed Professional Counselor.  She maintains a full-time private practice to serve children, teens, adults and families. When needed she collaborates with schools, psychiatrists, pediatricians, family physicians, and other professionals to bring additional support to her clients.

Scope of Practice

Mental Health Therapist

  • Children ages 4-18:  managing behavior problems at home and school, depression, anxiety, anger management, social skills, attention deficit, learning disabilities, coping with loss and change, and other mental health issues
  • Adults:  anxiety, depression, difficult relationships, parenting/family life, job stress, coping with loss and change, and other mental health issues

  • Women’s growth and therapy groups
  • Consultant for Schools and Business Organizations
  • Public speaker for churches, Schools and Business Organizations
  • Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Sessions: business groups, children
  • Equine Assisted Psychotherapy for individuals and families
  • As founder and director of HorseSense of Oklahoma, an adjunct part of her practice, Phyllis provides sessions for individuals and groups to increase Emotional Intelligence.  By performing custom designed activities with horses, participants gain insight into their own  personalities and methods of interaction and problem solving within relationships.
