EXPERIENCE:

 

April 1, 1990 to Present; Private psychology and consulting practice. Providing multidimensional mental health services that include assessments, individual and family therapy for children, adolescents and adults, and hospital and general physician referral consultations.  Consultation services for businesses that include at riskĀ employee evaluations, coordination and development of employee assistance program services, and training, (individual and group seminars) for supervisory and management personnel.  Such training if primarily focused toward the development and/or enhancement of communication and problem solving skills.  Provision of services includes ongoing individual and small group consultations and training within organizations, as well as public community seminars.  Additional training coordination includes responsibilities for planning state and local organizational meetings with national and local speakers.  Consultation on various community-based advisory boards.

 

November 1989 - March 31, 1990; Private psychology practice with Stewart R. Beasley, Ph.D. and Associates.  As an associate, provided general psychological services to children, adolescents, adults and families.

 

September 1987-November 1989; Post doctoral internship in psychology with Stewart R. Beasley, Ph.D. and Associates.  Provided general psychological services to children, adolscents, adults and families.

 

September 1986-August 1987; Clinical internship at Childrens Medical Center; A multi-facetted clinical inpatient hospital providing psychiatric services for children and adolescents; Tulsa, Oklahoma.  As an intern, provided a variety of

assessment/evaluation, psychological treatment, school consultations and follow-up services.

 

April 1, 1977 August 31, 1991; Executive Director, Edmond Youth Council Inc., (Community-based youth and family crisis counseling center).  Provide organizational administrative leadership for obtaining financial resources, (local, state and federal funds including negotiation of contacting, grant writing and oversight of auditing accountability to such organizations).  Management of all professional and non-professional personnel, along with managing an active professional and non-professional volunteer network.  Services delivery of this organization included the following: 24 hour on-call crisis management, routine mental health counseling services, alternative school program, therapeutic outdoors recreational programs, community educational seminars, alcohol and drug treatment and other related educational services, and referral and follow-up services.      

 

October 1973-March 1977, Supervisor and child care worker, Oklahoma County Juvenile Detention Center; Maximum detention for juvenile defenders.
